iGive's First Event: iGive Buffet

     iGive's first project was organizing a hands on activity to encourage people to give food, a basic yet undermined necessity, to those in need. Rather than simply collecting donations, the group set up stations where individuals could actually pack and wrap the meals and held a seminar where Dr Heba BinSalam discussed healthy habits during the holy month of Ramadan. What Is iGive?


     iGive is a Voluntary youth club in Gulf University for Science and Technology which hosts and organizes activities and events, in and out of the university. It addresses topics that touch the students’ lives in order to increase their efficiency, productivity, and responsibility towards their community. It also aims to promote the principle of diversity and social responsibility.

The Club’s Vision:
- To become the leading innovative voluntary youth team within the private universities social responsibility’s code, that links the students with the principle of volunteering as an added value in the community. Has a plan for a further spiritual development and a strong productive team. The team was created due to the deep belief of it members in the value of giving back to the community and finding a meaning in life.

The Club's Mission:
- Voluntary youth team which hosts and organizes activities and events, in and out of the university. It addresses topics that touch the students’ lives in order to increase their efficiency, productivity, and responsibility towards their community. It also aims to promote the principle of diversity and social responsibility through three main categories:
1) Humanitarian and moral
2) Academic
3) Campaigns, ideas worth spreading

Club’s Objectives:
  1. We aim to encourage students to play their voluntary role in the university context in different majors.
  2. We aim to enhance the social responsibility of Gulf University code through many sustainable voluntary activities.
  3. we seek to revive the concept of giving in Kuwaiti youth society in general , and increase the public awareness in voluntary activities.
  4. To coordinate with national and international volunteer organizations and be associated with their activities and host some of their events.
